ANNA MOSPANOV

Anna Mospanov was born in Moscow. She graduated with honors from the Sociology Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University. While at university, she worked as a journalist. At 21, she moved to Germany, where she received a degree in mass communications and worked in communications and advertising agencies, focusing on media planning and optimizing advertising processes. For several years, she managed her own medical communications company. Alongside her business, she continued working as a journalist, publishing in Russian and German publications, focusing on travel and intercultural communication.
Subsequently, after receiving additional education, she changed her career path. She currently works in a private psychiatric clinic, where she oversees psychological testing of patients.
Anna is the author of three books: the novel "Round Cubes" «Круглые кубики», which was shortlisted for the 2011 Manuscript of the Year literary prize in Russia, and the nonfiction book "Germany: Among Our Own" «Германия. Свой среди своих», which was a non-fiction bestseller for several years, and "The Silkworm" «Шелкопряд», a novel about a woman's midlife crisis.
She currently lives in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, with her husband and two sons.
