MAYA KATINSKAYA
Germanist in the third generation, Candidate of Philological Sciences, author of scientific articles on the lexicology of the German language and regional studies, graduate of the MBA program (Berlin). For more than eight years, she managed the language centers of an international company in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Born in Yaroslavl, graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages. She has won several grants for trips to German universities, including for teaching Russian language and culture (Bochum). However, it was the first student internship in the city of Constance on Lake Constance that inspired Katinskaya to write the novel "The Time of Pickles" — the author's debut in fiction.
Together with her husband of Franco-German origin, she brings up polylingual twins.
